Young Thug's So Much Fun album begins its reign at the top of the charts.
On Sunday (Aug. 25), Billboard confirmed Thugger's new studio album debuted at the top of the Billboard 200 chart. As of Aug. 22, the 19-track album racked up at least 131,000 equivalent album units in total. According to Nielsen Music, only 5,000 of the overall sum consists of traditional album sales while the rest came from pure streaming activity.
Young Thug's So Much Fun had the fifth-largest streaming week for any album in 2019. It's also the second-largest week for a hip-hop album this year next to Juice Wrld’s Death Race for Love. So Much Fun is also Thugger's eighth consecutive top 40-charting project and serves as his fifth project to hit the top 10. His other top 10 projects include Super Slimey (with Future) and Beautiful Thugger Girls, Jeffery and Slime Season 3.
So Much Fun is was executive-produced by J. Cole, who appears on "The London" with Travis Scott. The album holds 19 tracks featuring the likes of Future, 21 Savage, Juice Wrld, Lil Baby, Gunna, Lil Uzi Vert, Quavo and plenty more.
Now that the album is finally in rotation across the country, Thugger seems to be shifting his focus on his upcoming tour with Machine Gun Kelly and a new joint project with Juice Wrld coming soon.
Congratulations to Young Thug for his first No. 1 album.
