Kodak Black issued a Twitter mea culpa for his offensive raps about Yung Miami but eventually decided to scrub it from his page. The incarcerated artist publicly apologized for threatening to hit the pregnant City Girls member in the stomach in a recent freestyle from jail.
“#YungMiami Gimmicks Are For Suckas,” he wrote in the since-deleted tweet. “As I Sit Back I Realize How Petty That Move Was And As A Man It’s Certain Things We Refrain From.”
Kodak caused controversy last month when a freestyle he recorded over a jailhouse phone was released via his social media accounts. On the brief song, he took a shot at Miami.
“I bought Yung Miami a ring, she bought an 808 baby/When I see her, I’ma hit that bitch in her stomach/The way I keep this shit too real they say I’m fucking up my money,” he raps.
808 Mafia producer Southside, who is Miami’s boyfriend, reacted to the track in a brief clip posted on Instagram.
“Somebody tell Kodak ‘suck a dick,'” he said. “How ’bout that? Get up out of jail first, pussy.”
Kodak taunted Southside in response.
“I Ripped Dat Bih Ainna ?!!” he wrote. “@808mafiaboss Put A Beat To It.”
On Instagram Stories, Miami dismissed the diss as clout chasing. She also added, “Poor ass nigga Kodak ain’t dust shit!” while commenting on a post about the situation
