Fat Joe Announces New Album, & Release Date

Fat Joe has revealed the release date for his forthcoming album Family Ties.
According to a recent Twitter post, the project features a roster of notable artists, including Lil Wayne, Eminem, Ty Dolla $ign, Cool & Dre and Mary J. Blige.

The veteran Hip Hop artist has already shared the visual for “YES” featuring Cardi B and Anuel AA, but it’s unclear what song Eminem will appear on. Joe and Em’s history goes way back.
In a recent interview with WEDR 99.1FM Miami, Joe once again spoke about passing on Slim Shady’s demo six times.
“Eminem out here in Miami, he gave me his demo like six different times,” Joe said. “Everywhere I went was this little white boy, and he kept giving me his demo. He was like ‘listen to my music, I’m telling you I’m nice, I’m nice.’ I never really … I didn’t do it! Now, he’s the biggest guy in the universe.

Wack 100 Continues to Disrespect Nipsey Hussle's Legacy

On Saturday (November 30), TMZ caught Wack 100 outside of The Game’s 40th birthday celebration. The veteran music manager has been extremely vocal about his feelings toward the late rapper.
This time, he was confronted about his client Blueface and their claims Neighborhood Nip wasn’t a legend.
“He wasn’t,” Wack says matter-of-factly. “What’s a legend? Define a legend. Let’s keep it real. If Dr. Dre died right now, we’d say we lost a legend, right? Based upon what? Numbers, right? Body of work, right? How many albums did Nipsey drop? One album, right? This not no personal shit. This is real shit.
“The man died with a million followers. No radio hits. No platinum hits. No world tours. After he died, he went platinum, sold a bunch of records, followers went up nine, 10 million. First of all, we gotta define what a fucking legend is and what it fucking ain’t. Was he on his way? I think within time, yes he would have been. At the time of his demise … let’s keep it real. The truth can’t be defined as disrespect. If it is, that means you lyin’ to you muthafuckin’ self.”

Da Baby Have a Song With Lil Wayne On the Way

DaBaby had a breakout year this year and is looking to make 2020 even bigger. The 2019 XXL Freshman recently announced he has an upcoming track with Lil Wayne on deck.
On Wednesday (Nov. 27), the North Carolina rapper was interviewed by Viva Lakoi and Angela Yee for 104.5 The Beat about his great year. During the interview, he revealed his glow-up has allowed him to get noticed by the likes of Tunechi, with whom he recorded a collab.
"I got a song with Lil Wayne, that was amazing, so I'm good," DaBaby revealed, around the 2:40 mark in the interview, when asked who his dream collab would be.

DaBaby said Weezy's people contacted him about the record. "They reached out," he said. "They sent me a record. It's a great record, too. Yea, for sure."
The collab is extra special considering DaBaby looks at Wayne as the best to ever do it. "It's amazing," DaBaby added. "That's the G.O.A.T. of my era. That's the G.O.A.T., who I was probably most highly influenced by music-wise growing up. It had to be, if you my age."

Lil Uzi Vert Calls Out DJ Drama And Don Cannon

Lil Uzi Vert has some words for DJ Drama and Don Cannon once again.
On Thanksgiving evening (Nov. 28), Uzi popped up on his Twitter account to address his fans before calling out Drama and Cannon, two hip-hop luminaries who signed Uzi to their Generation Now imprint a few years ago.
"Fuck Dj drama he broke ‍♂️Niggas need me 2 drop 2 pay bills," Uzi wrote in a pair of tweets. "My best friend Mean Got More Money Den Drama I Swear on Everything he not even in the Industry ‍♂️ @MeanXVI," he wrote in another tweet.
While Uzi doesn't call Cannon broke directly, he does question the producer's character with a sarcastic shoutout. "I still got love for Don Cannon with his Fake Ass ahhhhh You snake ass nigga I wanna be just like you when I grow up."
Uzi also had some harsh words for producer Maaly Raw, who previously produced Uzi hits like "Money Longer" and "Do What I Want." In a tweet, he wrote, "MAALY RAW A SNAKE 2 .... he tried to run off wit 20,000 back in the G wonder what that turned into ‍♂️⭕️."
Uzi's problems with Cannon and Drama are by now well-documented. While Uzi has hinted at his label being the reason he was unable to drop his long-awaited Eternal Atake project, DJ Drama has said Uzi could drop the album any time he wants to.
"Uzi should put out EA [Eternal Atake] tomorrow or any day he wants," Drama wrote in the comments section of a DJ Akademiks Instagram post focused on fans wanting to hear Eternal Atake. "He has me and [co-CEO Don] Cannon's total support and blessings to drop it."
Uzi hasn't dropped a new project since August 2017's Luv Is Rage 2.

Tyga Signs a Multi Million Dollar Deal With Columbia Records

Tyga has found a new home for his music.
According to a press release, the Grammy Award-nominated rapper has secured a multi-million dollar deal with Columbia Records and officially joined the label’s extensive roster. He’s expected to release fresh material in the very near future.
In a recent interview with Variety, Tyga explained his intentions with the longstanding imprint.
“They definitely understand the global brand,” he explained. “I have a lot of fans worldwide — in places I’ve never been like South America, and in places I have been like Asia and Europe. They can help bring that to a larger scale. Doing it independently, you don’t really have those teams to help worldwide.
“Sony, if you look at the history from what they’ve done from Pharrell to Beyoncé to Adele — then you look at Lil Nas X, one of their new artists that’s blown up this year — they’ve done a lot for artists globally, for their brand.”
Tyga’s career reached epic heights after releasing his major label debut, Careless World: Rise of the Last King, in 2011. The 21-track album contained the quadruple-platinum single “Rack City” and triple-platinum “Faded” featuring Lil Wayne, among others.
Last year, he unleashed his most successful single to date, “Taste” featuring Migos rapper Offset. It not only went six-times platinum, peaking at No. 8 on the Billboard Hot 100, but it also generated over 1 billion cumulative streams.
The 29-year-old’s most recent album, Legendary, dropped in June.

To be eligible, artists or bands must have released their first commercial recording at least 25 years ago. Biggie dropped his first album Ready To Die in 1994. This marks the first year the late Hip Hop icon is able to receive a nomination.
The 2020 inductees will be announced in January 2020. The induction ceremony is expected to take place at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland on May 2, 2020.

A year ago Summer Walker‘s debut mixtape Last Day of Summer was released and now her debut album follow-up, Over It, is the largest debut album from a female R&B artist in over 10 years.
