@TheRReport1 June's Producer of the Month: S.P. Da Gas

S.P. Da Gas, also known as Shedric Lenard Pierce, was born October 11, 1986. Growing up as a Savannah, Georgia native, music and its many forms of expression is the one thing that grasped and kept S.P’s attention. Most of his time was spent listening to records as he was a young child, and trying to immolate it back on other instruments, developing a perfect pitch ear. Artists from all walks of life such as Charlie Parker, John Coltrane, Puff Daddy, Tupac Shakur, Joe, Xscape, 702, and Nas were just some of the earliest influences that helped him develop a relationship with music and all it has to offer. S.P. owned his first keyboard at age 6, and his first saxophone (alto) at age 10. He also played drums for the youth/main choir at the church he attended during that time.
In middle and high school, S.P. did participate in sports and other extra-curricular activities. However, he was in the band for all years in middle and high school. Graduating with a Fine Arts Seal in 2004, he also participated in honor band for the city, state, and all county bands in high school playing Alto, Tenor, and Baritone saxophones at Windsor Forrest High School. While in high school, S.P. acquired access to beat machines, and newer model keyboards, as well as digital software. He began spending countless days and nights of teaching himself how to arrange, and build instrumentals along to beats he created.
