Cardi B has returned with her first solo single of the new year, “Press.”
The superstar rapper initially teased the impending single on her Instagram by uploading a series of cheetah-print cladded photos that appeared to draw inspiration from the infamous serial killer Aileen Wuornos.
Cardi’s caption simply read, “PRESS SINGLE AND OFFICIAL ART WORK DROPS THIS WEEK ON 5/31 !!!”
“Press” is Cardi’s first stand-alone single of the new year, coming on the heels of several collaborative efforts with the likes of DJ Khaled, City Girls, Blueface and Bruno Mars.
Cardi’s last solo single, “Money,” was released last October.
The noir-style of the single artwork parallels the Hollywood gangster attitude Cardi wields on the flex-filled anthem questioning her haters’ continued disgruntled attitude towards her unrivaled success.
Alongside her continued dominance in music, the Grammy Award winner is also set to grace the silver screen in her upcoming debut film role in Hustlers. Cardi will co-star in the film with acting heavyweights Jennifer Lopez and Keke Palmer.
