@TheRReport1 June's Producer of the Month: S.P. Da Gas

S.P. Da Gas, also known as Shedric Lenard Pierce, was born October 11, 1986. Growing up as a Savannah, Georgia native, music and its many forms of expression is the one thing that grasped and kept S.P’s attention. Most of his time was spent listening to records as he was a young child, and trying to immolate it back on other instruments, developing a perfect pitch ear. Artists from all walks of life such as Charlie Parker, John Coltrane, Puff Daddy, Tupac Shakur, Joe, Xscape, 702, and Nas were just some of the earliest influences that helped him develop a relationship with music and all it has to offer. S.P. owned his first keyboard at age 6, and his first saxophone (alto) at age 10. He also played drums for the youth/main choir at the church he attended during that time.
In middle and high school, S.P. did participate in sports and other extra-curricular activities. However, he was in the band for all years in middle and high school. Graduating with a Fine Arts Seal in 2004, he also participated in honor band for the city, state, and all county bands in high school playing Alto, Tenor, and Baritone saxophones at Windsor Forrest High School. While in high school, S.P. acquired access to beat machines, and newer model keyboards, as well as digital software. He began spending countless days and nights of teaching himself how to arrange, and build instrumentals along to beats he created.

Cardi B Release Her New Single "Pressed"

Cardi B has returned with her first solo single of the new year, “Press.”
The superstar rapper initially teased the impending single on her Instagram by uploading a series of cheetah-print cladded photos that appeared to draw inspiration from the infamous serial killer Aileen Wuornos.

Cardi’s caption simply read, “PRESS SINGLE AND OFFICIAL ART WORK DROPS THIS WEEK ON 5/31 !!!”
“Press” is Cardi’s first stand-alone single of the new year, coming on the heels of several collaborative efforts with the likes of DJ Khaled, City Girls, Blueface and Bruno Mars.
Cardi’s last solo single, “Money,” was released last October.
The noir-style of the single artwork parallels the Hollywood gangster attitude Cardi wields on the flex-filled anthem questioning her haters’ continued disgruntled attitude towards her unrivaled success.
Alongside her continued dominance in music, the Grammy Award winner is also set to grace the silver screen in her upcoming debut film role in Hustlers. Cardi will co-star in the film with acting heavyweights Jennifer Lopez and Keke Palmer.

F. Gary Gray Receives Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame

Director F. Gary Gray was honored Tuesday (May 28) with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame after putting in over two decades of work in the film industry.
Gray first became known for his early directorial work on music videos such as Ice Cube’s “It Was A Good Day.” At age 26, he made his feature film debut with the classic comedy Friday, which turned Hollywood’s eyes on him.

Succeeding films such as Set It Off, The Italian Job, Straight Outta Compton and The Fate of the Furious all established Gray as a top box-office grosser in the directorial chair.
Gray’s next release is Men in Black: International, the fourth entry in the Men In Black series. The film, which stars Tessa Thompson and Chris Hemsworth, is the first Men In Black movie that isn’t directed by Barry Sonnenfeld.
The movie hits theaters June 14.
